Lynda Ellestad is a Canadian writer whose work explores memory, identity, human connection and the complicated ways people make sense of their own lives.
Her novel Hidden follows Ada Sinclair, a forty-six-year-old office worker who has learned to live with the missing pieces of her life. When her supervisor disappears, the world Ada has carefully constructed begins to come apart. A work of literary psychological suspense, Hidden explores trauma, dissociation, power and the extraordinary ways the mind can protect itself from truths it isn't ready to know.
Writing as Lynda Wilson, Ellestad is also the author of the memoir Walking Home, which recounts the 127-kilometre journey she and her husband made along Ontario's Guelph-to-Goderich rail trail. She is currently adapting Walking Home for the stage.
Ellestad lives in Kitchener, Ontario.
